Abby was in the mood for another change in the lab. Every so often she would decorate it a different way, suiting her latest interests. And it just so happened that the night before she had decided to change things up again. It wasn't like the decorations weren't good. After all, she had been the one who had added those a month or two ago. But Abby liked to switch things up, and that was the reason she had decided to go shopping really early in the day. She had her wagon that she could tow around with all the goods she needed, and even though it looked odd, she really didn't care. Abby had never been the type to care about how she appeared to others. She had gathered all sorts of object, most gothic types of decorations and stuff, but for amusement, she had bought a scooby doo plushie that she had come across. It wasn't as good as Bert, her stuffed hippo, but it was still pretty funny. Plus, from time to time she did think her team was kind of like the Mystery Inc. Mostly because they investigated like the characters from the old show. On occasion Abby still watched some of those old episodes, just for amusement purposes. In fact, that was what she had watched earlier, and because of it decided to redecorate.
As she made her way into her lab, she smiled, glancing at her monitors with joy. She loved her job, she really did, and adding a few fun little decorations just made it that much more exciting. "So what do you think, Bert? Scooby? This place is going to look awesome right?" The goth grinned and nodded, knowing that it would even if she didn't get an answer from them. Her green eyes sparkled as she started taking down a few things she was bored of, and then put up other things, set Bert to his usual spot, and Scooby next to the computer she usually used to run through AFIS. She set things up at a rapid fire pace, wanting her lab to look absolutely fantastic in her eyes before she ended up with the evidence for the latest case. She knew the agents were busy investigating, but she had yet to receive the evidence. Which was a little frustrating, since she was eager to dive in and solve the mystery. However, for now at least she was keeping herself entertained. She smiled to herself before taking out a chart. She had kept track of all the different decorations she had used in the past, just so she wouldn't repeat anything. So she wrote down her current one, before putting it away and taking a deep breath. "It's looking good boys." She told Bert and Scooby before sitting down and letting herself relax.

Tony was officially on top of the world. In the last 48 hours he had worked like a dog, been deprived of sleep and consumable caffeine and had actually met – and interviewed – President Barrack Obama. Technically he supposed that he should have been home sleeping right now. Unlike a few of the younger agents who had left the scene to get some shut-eye, Tony had made his way straight for the office. Gibbs would still be working. Chances were, so would Tim and Ziva. And so it was that Tony rode the elevator down to the forensics lab, a large white plastic evidence tub held in front of him.
“You always look good, Abs,” he grinned as he stepped through the the sliding doors into the lab itself, sliding the crate onto the shiny counter near the goth's desk casually. “Evidence from the scene. Still waiting on samples from the autopsy,” Tony shuddered and pulled a creeped-out face. “But this should be enough for you to get started with for now.” He left the evidence where it was, moving over to the desk and seating himself unceremoniously on Abby's lab stool. He waited as long as his attention span would allow – all of two seconds – before he spoke about his brush with the Leader of the Free World.
“So I could have a new job as Barack's bodyguard,” he boasted. “He told me to call him Barack. I think I should probably take it. Who am I to deny him my expertise, right?”

Since Abby had time on her hands, she had decided to watch the door until somebody decided to enter her lab. She was so fired up to get started on this case, even though she had yet to get a Caf-Pow, but that was alright. She figured Gibbs would come give her one eventually. Abby wasn't much of a believer in sleep. She did eventually sleep a little bit, but not nearly as much as most people. And then usually, when she slept, she slept in the lab, on a nice little cot she had with her at all times almost. Sure, she did have her own place, which she went home to, but she preferred her lab over everything. Plus she would never go home until she had done her job. Because she wanted to make sure she had found all the evidence incriminating a person first. As Tony walked in, a bright smile came onto Abby's face. This was what she had been waiting for. As she could see, he was carrying evidence, and she couldn't wait to throw herself at it. After all, it was the most enjoyable thing she did, other than some of the parties she went to in cemeteries. But those depended on who attended, whereas this only depended on her presence. However, because Tony had been the one who had brought the evidence, he was officially her hero, and she would treat him as such. "Well thank you Tony." She replied to his compliment, smiling brilliantly as she looked at the large amount of evidence. Oh yes, this was the best part of the job, seeing the objects and beginning to look for prints and so on.
"Tonnnnnnnnyyyy! You are absolutely a hero. I could kiss you...but that would be weird." Abby told him with a grin, before giving him a big hug. She then began to pull each bag with the evidence out, and spread them across a table to see what she had. After that she started to put on gloves, smiling brightly as she prepared to begin to work. This would be exciting. She had been waiting for this all day, which was the reason why her lab was now mixed goth and scooby doo characters. "It should definitely be enough. So what's the story here anyway?" Abby asked him curiously, figuring it would be good to know a bit more about the case. Especially since she knew Tony had been working at the scene until now most likely. And then she took out the first piece of evidence, inspecting it carefully for signs of prints. As she worked, she listened to Tony's story and laughed. It would definitely be interesting if he were to be the President's bodyguard. Not that she would think that was a good idea for a number of reasons. The top one being he was an NCIS agent and part of her team, and she hated it when the team was separated. She had hated it when Ziva had been sent to Israel, and Tony to the naval aircraft carrier. The only one she had been able to see regularly had been Mcgee, but it just wasn't the same when he was busy working in the basement instead of on cases with Gibbs. "You are special agent Anthony DiNozzo. And personally, I wouldn't forgive you if you did. I totally understand it when you have no choice of where to be. Well, okay, even then I don't agree." She continued to examine her evidence though, looking for any sign of something that could help with the case.
