Two bottles of water remain on the counter, next to the flowers.
His naval uniform is still hanging crisply from a hangar behind the door.
His bag of things sits on the floor under the counter.
Within his bag there is a change of clothes - Navy blue sweatpants, mouthwash, a toothbrush, toothpaste, hand sanitizer, wetnaps, a Tide stain pen, deodorant, his wallet, his iPhone, and a map of the DC area.
In his wallet there's his driver's license, his military ID, credit cards, $200 in cash, and pictures of him with a blonde woman and two little girls, with several people in uniform, with President W Bush, and with an as of yet unidentified man.
